Teriyaki Fusion Ribs
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 5–6 hours
The secret to the perfect rib is all in the glaze! We used our Teriyaki seasoning not just for the rub, but to create a sticky, homemade glaze that is 100% clean-label. Paired with Everyday Beef, these ribs are a savory-sweet masterpiece.
Ingredients:
- 1 rack of ribs (St. Louis style, Baby Back, or Spare ribs)
- 2 tablespoons Clean Monday Meals Teriyaki Seasoning (for the rub)
- 1 tablespoon Clean Monday Meals Everyday Beef Seasoning
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil (to help seasoning stick)
-
For the Teriyaki Glaze:
- 1 tablespoon Clean Monday Meals Teriyaki Seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon coconut aminos or GF soy sauce
Instructions:
- Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel. Removing the silver skin (membrane) from the back of the ribs is optional.
- Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the ribs and rub it in to create a surface for the spices to stick to.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the Teriyaki Seasoning and the Everyday Beef Seasoning. Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the blend.
- Smoker Method: Preheat your smoker to 250°F. Place the ribs bone-side down and smoke for 5 hours.
- Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 250°F. Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet. Roast for 4–5 hours until tender.
- While the ribs are cooking, make the glaze by simmering the Teriyaki Seasoning, water, honey, and coconut aminos in a small saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes until thickened.
- During the last 20–30 minutes of cooking, brush the homemade Teriyaki glaze over the top of the ribs.
- If using the oven, open the foil and broil for 2–3 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and sticky.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
