Feeding a crowd? Our party-sized CMM Bacon Broccoli Salad hits every flavor note: tart craisins, smoky bacon, and a savory kick from our new SPOG Seasoning. It’s easily made dairy-free or vegetarian, making it the ultimate side dish for any gathering!

Ingredients:

The Salad:

  • 8 cups fresh broccoli crowns, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 3/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (omit for vegetarian)
  • 3/4 cup cubed cheddar cheese (or dairy-free cheese alternative)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 3/4 cup craisins (dried cranberries)

The Sauce:

  • 1 1/4 cups mayonnaise (or vegan mayo alternative)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, sour cream (or dairy-free yogurt alternative)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1.5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Clean Monday Meals SPOG Seasoning

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the 8 cups of broccoli florets, red onion, sunflower seeds, and craisins. Add your bacon and cubed cheese (if using).
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, yogurt/sour cream, honey, and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Add the CMM SPOG Seasoning to the sauce and whisk until smooth. The SPOG adds the essential savory layer that balances the sweetness of the honey and the tartness of the craisins.
  4. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and stir until every floret is evenly coated.
  5. The Secret Step: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. This allows the broccoli to marinate and the SPOG flavors to fully develop in the dressing.
  6. Give it a final toss before serving to redistribute the creamy sauce.
