Serves: 4 Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 30–35 minutes
You can't have steak fries without the perfect sauce! These Baked SPOG Steak Fries are crispy, savory, and served with a 3-ingredient SPOG Fry Sauce that is out of this world. Clean ingredients, big flavor!
Ingredients:
- 3–4 large Russet potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch thick wedges
- 2–3 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Clean Monday Meals SPOG Seasoning (plus more for finishing)
-
SPOG Fry Sauce:
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Clean Monday Meals SPOG Seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the potatoes into thick, even wedges.
- Place the wedges in a bowl and rinse them under cold water for 1–2 minutes to wash away the excess starch.
- Drain the water and pat the wedges completely dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Removing the moisture is essential for maximum crispiness.
- Place the dry wedges in a clean bowl and drizzle with the oil.
- Add the Clean Monday Meals SPOG Seasoning and toss thoroughly until every wedge is evenly coated.
- Spread the wedges onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching so they roast rather than steam.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden-brown and crispy.
- While the fries bake, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and SPOG Seasoning in a small bowl. Set aside in the fridge to let the flavors meld.
- Remove the fries from the oven and immediately add one final sprinkle of SPOG while they are hot. Serve with the chilled SPOG Fry Sauce.
