Italian Dressing

Yields: Approx. 1 1/2 cups | Prep Time: 5 minutes

A fresh, herb-forward vinaigrette that is far superior to store-bought versions. Using CMM Italian Seasoning gives you a perfectly balanced blend of herbs without any fillers or preservatives.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Clean Monday Meals Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for balance)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Notes:

    • Variation: For a "Creamy Italian" version, whisk in 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt or mayonnaise.
    • Storage: Store in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. If the oil solidifies, simply let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes and shake well.

Instructions:

  1. Combine the olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, honey, and CMM Italian Seasoning in a mason jar or a small blender.
  2. Add the salt and black pepper.
  3. Shake vigorously for 30–60 seconds if using a jar, or pulse in a blender until the dressing is emulsified.
  4. Taste and add an extra pinch of salt or pepper if desired.
  5. Let the dressing sit for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the dried herbs in the seasoning to fully hydrate and release their flavor.
