Browned Butter French Onion Rice

If your side dish takes longer than 30 minutes, you're doing it wrong! 😉This French Onion Rice is a stovetop dream. Just brown the butter, add the rice, and let our Clean Monday Meals mixes do all the heavy lifting. Weeknight perfection achieved!

  1. Brown the Butter: In a medium-sized saucepan or pot with a tight-fitting lid, melt the butter over medium heat. Continue heating, stirring occasionally, until the butter stops foaming and brown bits form at the bottom. This should take about 3-5 minutes.

  2. Bloom Seasoning: Turn the heat down to low. Add the Clean Monday Meals Onion Mix to the browned butter and stir quickly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Form the Broth: Pour in the 4 cups of water and stir in the Clean Monday Meals Beef Bouillon until the powder is dissolved.

  4. Cook the Rice: Stir in the rinsed rice. Bring the rice and broth mixture to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, immediately drop the heat to low, cover the pot with the lid, and let the mixture simmer undisturbed for 20 minutes.

  5. Rest and Fluff: Remove the pot from the heat and let it rest (still covered) for 5-10 minutes. Remove the lid and fluff the rice thoroughly with a fork before serving.
