Can I say something that’s been on my heart?
Lately I’ve been thinking about how many of us are walking around not feeling like ourselves. Tired. Bloated. Moody. Breaking out. Foggy. In pain. Joints aching. Snapping at our kids. Forgetting things. Feeling like we’re barely getting through the day—but still pushing through like it’s normal.
I was there. And honestly, I didn’t even realize how sick I was until I started to feel better.
My wake-up call came through my body—loud and clear. Cystic acne. Brain fog. Anxiety. Joint pain. Constant fatigue. I thought it was just “mom life,” but my body was trying to get my attention. I just didn’t know how to listen.
It wasn’t until I started changing my food—cutting out inflammatory foods—that things began to shift. Slowly, my skin cleared. My joints stopped aching. The fog lifted. I had energy again. I felt like me again.
Kev said, “I didn’t realize how off you were until now.” And he was right. I didn’t either—until I remembered what it felt like to actually feel good in my body.
Healing started with food, but it didn’t stop there. It led me into deeper healing—managing stress, resting, reconnecting spiritually, and releasing pressure I didn’t even know I was carrying.
If you’re feeling stuck, foggy, inflamed, or just off—you’re not alone. And you don’t have to stay there.
Here’s what helped me most:
1. Fully commit—decide you’re ready to change.
2. Buy Dr. Redd’s anti-inflammatory book.
3. Get bloodwork through a functional medicine doctor.
4. Cut inflammatory foods (mine: gluten, dairy, seed oils, sugar).
5. Make a simple, nourishing meal plan.
6. Prioritize 7–9 hrs. of sleep + 5–10 mins of quiet daily (walk, pray, journal).
7. Ask for help—you don’t have to do it alone.
You don’t have to fix everything overnight. Just take the next right step.
