Big Mac Mason Jar Salad

Makes 4-5 Jars (Quart Size) 

Ingredients:
For the Beef:

  • 1 pound grass-fed ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
For the Salad:
  • 1 package of salad mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion (optional)
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup pickles, halved or diced

Homemade Dressing (recipe below)

Special Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup avocado oil-based mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup relish
  • 1 tsp dried onion flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
Combine all together.

 

Instructions:
  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat and season with salt and pepper. Halfway through browning, after about 4-5 minutes, begin mixing in the mustard, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, pickle juice, and paprika.
  2. Add onions to the skillet and sauté with coconut oil and salt and pepper until translucent.
  3. Assemble the salads in mason jars.
  4. First, add dressing. Next add meat then top with tomatoes, onions and pickles. Stuff it full of chopped lettuce.
  5. Store in fridge for 4-5 days.
  6. Enjoy!
