Sticky Chex Mix aka “Christmas Crack”


4 c. Corn Chex Cereal
4 c. Rice Chex Cereal
Or 8 cups of one.
1 c. slivered almonds or cashews.
2 c. sweetened coconut
3/4 c. unsalted butter (for dairy-free version, use @earthbalance butter)
1 c. light Karo syrup
1 c. sugar


1. In a very large bowl, toss together the Corn Chex, Rice Chex, slivered almonds, and coconut; set aside.  In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. 2. Add the Karo syrup and sugar and stir until combined.  Heat over medium heat and bring to a boil, then boil for two minutes, stirring constantly. 3. Remove from heat and immediately pour over the ingredients in the bowl.  Carefully stir together until everything is evenly coated.  Allow it to cool 4. Stuff your face!
