Gluten-Free Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup powder sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 cups gluten-free flour (I used @namastefoodsllc Flour mix)
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Combine sugars, butter, and Crisco until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and mix. Stir in the rest of the ingredients until combined. Roll into 1 inch balls and flatten down with a cup with sugar on it.
- Bake at 350°F for 8-10 min. In my oven, I only bake 8 mins. If I go longer, they are crunchy.
- I make these with regular flour for friends and family and always get asked for the recipe. Hands down the best sugar cookie recipe. Also, I usually double the recipes when making them for other people.
